The Faith in Action retreat will be held over five days and four nights from March 13th to March 17th. This retreat will be focused on serving the needs of the poor in low-income South Dallas. Catholic Charites of Dallas have identified several food pantries and senior centers that need our help. There will also be opportunities for spiritual development including a visit to a Cistercian Abbey.
We will be staying at the Saint Raphael Retreat Center, with separate rooms and bathrooms for Ladies and Men. Roundtrip transportation to and from the Catholic Student Center to St. Raphael will be provided. There will be access to a full kitchen where we can make communal breakfasts (cereal, bagels etc.) and packed lunches. Two dinners are also included. The cost per person will be $100 The deadline for registration is March 9th.
Lent is a time when we are called to increase almsgiving and donating one’s time in service is a way of doing this. Use your spring break to serve our Lord!
